Portrait Poem
Crystal.
Loving, helpful, creative, and organized,
Sister of Tyler,
Lover of sunshine, horses, and my dog Monte,
Who feels free when riding horses, exhausted after a long day at school, and satisfied with her life,
Who needs love, laughter, and family,
Who gives friendship, love, and a listening ear,
Who fears snakes, being alone, and losing loved ones,
Who would like to see Italy, Heaven, and less selfishness,
Resident of Boone, N.C.,
McDonald.

I am a Senior at Appalachian State University. I am majoring in Elementary Education. My concentration is in Visual Arts. Last year I changed my major from Industrial Design to Elementary Education. I am so happy in my new major and I am excited to dive in and learn all the odds and ins into becoming a great teacher! Pictured above is my horse Ellie. I have been riding horses since I was twelve years old and it is a huge passion of mine. I also have a miniature dachshund, Monte who is a big part of my life! I am very satisfied where my life is at right now and I am excited to see where God is going to take me!

By reading your poems and sitting next to you every now and then you seem to be a unique person. Your horse is beautiful!
I am organized and I absolutely hate snakes too. This is a really nice “about me” page!
I liked your acrostic poem, the words you picked were very creative. I also like the picture of your horse, she is so pretty.
Crystal I loved both of your poems. The poems that you wrote did an excellent job of describing you to a ‘T’. Cute picture!
Hey Crystal I loved your acrostic poem! I too am stubborn at times and scared of eventually finding a job! I think your passion for horses is really neat too.
Your autobiography says so much about you. I’m glad you switched to Elem. Ed. and loving it.
Thanks for sharing Crystal. I would have never guessed you had a horse. That is great! I always rode donkeys growing up on my grandpa’s farm. My grandpa also had a horse and loved his horse. He had to put him to sleep later when the horse broke his leg. After that he never got a horse again but donkeys. I guess he never got over his grief over that loss. Anyway, wanted to share : )

Crystal, where is your second set of reflections?
